Wind

Visual story
Upper Mustang, Nepal

Wind is a visual story born out of my trip to Nepal to research and develop a film idea. Once back, I decided to give the story a photographic form enriched by a personal text. I wanted to show and tell the possibility of an exchange between science and traditional knowledge in a remote corner of Nepal, Lo Mantahng in Upper Mustang. And I wanted to do this through the emotions and thoughts of Nepalese biotechnologist Prativa Pandey, who was traveling with me to meet one of the last curators of Tibetane traditional medicine in Nepal, Amchi Gyatso Bista.
The result is a photographic story that I would like to be the basis for a film and an immersive installation that aims to tell the story of how territories, people and cultures can be linked by an invisible thread that transcends the present and the past. A natural, spiritual and very human dimension at the same time.
